All about me game

The board game ”All about me” gives students a variety of invitations to talk about themselves.

The board game ”All about me” can be used with advantage at the beginning of the semester as an icebreaker or during the friendship, week to let the classmates get to know each other a little better.

The game is suitable to be played by players between years 6 to 12 years and in groups of 2 to 6 players.

 Try to put students in small groups of classmates that they do not usually sit with and use this game as a way for them to make new friends.

The game board is created in the size of a horizontal poster size but can be printed in the format that suits you best.

 

There are 28 different game challenges to a game plan with different challenges where it says everything from:

 

• Something I like to do…

• Something I’m proud of…

• Favorite hobby…

• I want to learn that…

• My favorite subject in school is…

 

 

What you need are dice and game pieces.

 

The game is also available to watch in Swedish.

Why is friendship important?

 

Friendship can have a huge effect on your health and well-being. Good friends are good for your health. They can be there to celebrate when things are going well, and also be there to support you when things are going badly. Having good friends can prevent loneliness and can also keep you company when you need it!

In a school environment, friends can make your students’ lives much easier and help them to the extent that their learning experience can also be improved. Friendships at school can help children improve their self-confidence, and self-esteem and can also minimize the risk of bullying!

Friendship is also an integral part of improving young children’s social skills. Interacting with people from different families, backgrounds and beliefs can help children learn more about the world and society in which they live so that they can develop feelings of empathy and kindness towards others!

Any examples of things friends do?

Being a good friend means treating the people around you with respect!

Helping the people you care about is also very important to be a good friend. Sharing and being kind to others and making them feel comfortable around you is a perfect way to do it!

When a friend is sad or having a hard time, it may be better to be there for them and listen to their problems. It is also important to spend time with your friends, interact with them and have fun!
