What Makes Me Unique? – worksheets

A material that is suitable for use throughout the school year, but which is a good material to use at school start for Down’s Syndrome day on March 21. Here you can take part in a “Rock the socks and Domns Syndrom craft.” Here you can take part in several school materials that can be used at the beginning of school.

Celebrating our differences is a great way to teach children about the different worlds we live in. Celebrating differences will also help children be more open to different people’s perspectives.

You can celebrate differences in many ways:

• Invite visitors to the school to talk about another culture or religion.
• Use stories that have a variety of characters.
• Ask children to think about what makes them different from their friends and highlight their common interests.
• Challenge gender stereotypes by celebrating women working in male-dominated professions.
• Attend and celebrate festivals or cultural celebrations as a whole class.

The worksheets can be downloaded in A3 format and A4 format so that you as a mentor and educator can choose the worksheet that best suits your class.

The worksheet is available in both Swedish and English and is suitable for year 2 to year 6.
